The week of crazinesss

_____________________________________________________________________________________

I'm not really sure how I got Gregg to agree to all of this. In my defense, I didn't mean to plan it all back to back but it ended up working out. So here goes... (OH, by the way, the layout got all messed up so sorry if it gets a little messy. Hope you can figure it out :) )

Wednesday July 21st, we hit the road to San Diego around 3 for Comic-con. We got my badge and headed to the Howard's, my aunt, uncle and cousins for dinner. I'm so glad we had that time as a family together.

So, the next day started the insanity. I had never gone into Comic-con before so I was a bit overwhelmed. Below is a picture of what the exhibit hall can look like

Within an hour of getting there, Simon Pegg came to the hotel where turns out he was staying. He had to sign autographs and take photos for a total of like 10 hours over the three days. He was so cool!! Then we saw Nick Frost, his buddy from Hot Fuzz etc. who was equally as awesome.

Anyways, so I hung out just hoping to see someone. Saw Wilmer Valderama and his over the top car. If you look closely, the emblem is WV. Ridiculous!!

Well, i did see someone and that someone was one of my top goals of who I wanted to meet. Mr. Matt Bomer of White Collar. Got to say hey to Tim DeKay too but Matt was my priority. Gregg has met him twice and I have never seen him. Totally awesome. He asked me my name and I told him I was wearing my hat in honor of Neal Caffrey and I got a big smile for that. Notice we are both wearing awesome hats :)

Well, after that I had to head out of town. Gloria Stuart from Titanic was being honored at the Academy so I drove up to meet Amelia to go see this. It was amazing. They showed clips from about 8 of her movies then eventually brought her out on stage. She's definitely 100 but still very sharp. She told us some funny stories about filming Titanic. So amazing.

I'm gonna put an aside note that Gregg worked it this weekend. I was running in and out, sleeping in the car etc and he was getting a million graphs. While I was gone on Thursday he got ken Marino, Erinn Hayes, Willie Garson, Marsha Thomason, James Rodday, Dule Hill, Bruce Willis on our Armageddon(he worked hard for that one and was the only one to get it this weekend!), Johnny Gallecki, Patton Oswalt, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jerry O'connel on our Crossing Jordan,Sarah Wayne Callies, Brent Spiner, Levar Burton, and Danny Devito

Friday brought on more excitement. Gregg got Nic Cage on 3 things, Eric Balfour, Liv Tyler on 3 thngs which is unheard of. We only need Ethan Embry on our That Thing you Do and it's done. Crazy! He also got Nathan fillion. Anywyas, so I waited outside for John Hannah (the guy who played Rachel Weisz brother in the Mummy movies.) He was in an episode of Alias and was hoping to meet him. He was soo sweet!! Sorry Eric, had to post a pic of him and happens to be with you

Then I went in for my first panel. Can I tell you how freaked out I was. I didn't know what I was getting myself into. Well, I almost gave up right away. I sit down in the panel before mine to get a good spot and end up being squashed by the armor being worn by the guy next to me. SHEESH!! they need to have a separate area for those types of costumes. I had metal poking my thigh for an hour! BUT the panel was very interesting. It was Berkeley Breathed who is an artist for the comic stips Bloom and others. Check out his website
He was very funny and it made me want read comic strips again. He has a movie coming out called "Mars needs Mom's" being directed by Robert Zemeckis and with the voices of Seth Green and Joan Cusak among others. I'm very excited. So when he was done, my panel came on for The Cape. I went to this cause i love Vinnie Jones. well, i'm not sure how this show will do. They showed us the pilot episode. I can say it has potential and there are some good moments, but it needs help and money. I was disappointed cause the actors all only said one word. Martin Klebba from pirates is very silly, Vinnie Jones just used a few expletives, Summer talked a bit, David Lyons sold me over, James Frain was exactly what I expected, I was happy to see Darion wiht a show-he was on one of my episodes of Bones, and Keith David surprised me big time. I met him about a year ago and he was SO MEAN, but here, he was so sweet. Got a pic off the stage. Love his smile!!

So then we went to dinner at Cafe Diem which was the restaurant next to the Hard Rock cafe. SO much fun!!

Then we went to wait outside for the Tron party. We missed Jeff earlier in the day so we hoped for him. When we got there we saw that they had set up this little empty room exactly like Flynn's from Tron. So awesome!

So Jeff came early and basically blew us off. I was pretty depressed BUT I know he had been hit up a million times and we were crowding him so I don't hold it against him. I have had several great meetings but started a White Squall and wanted to get him to sign my Crazy Heart CD but oh well. Next time I hope. We were able to get Summer glau finally. we'd tried a couple times that day and her idiot boyfriend practically yanked her arm out of the socket to get her to keep moving. so got her. We also thankfully had some friends checking out another hotel and got Allison Scagglioti from Warehouse 13. They remembered i needed her so ran down the street to get me. Then we saw Saul and Joanne so got them all to sign the cast shot and i got my pic wiht allison. such a sweetie. Then we saw Eddie to finish the cast shot. Framing that one for sure. We got Scottie Thompson as well. Then i was able to get a pic with David Lyons. He was on ER for a bit and on the new show the Cape. He's adorable. When I got the pic with him he said you need James Frain. I told him I met him 3 years ago but he insisted so got the joint wiht them.

So Saturday came along. I was so excited for this day. Warehouse 13 panel and Syfy party which rocked last year. Well, Gregg started the day getting Wentworth Miller and Ali Larter. I was mad cause I've been dying to meet Wentworth but was in the car and Gregg didn't call but it's nice to know we have the autograph so i don't have to worry about that next time. We later got Misha Collins from supernatural, Tobin Bell on our Alias, Richard Jenkins on our Undercover Blues, Chloe Moretz on (500) Days of Summer, and Scott Wolf on our "The Nine" tv show cast shot.

So then I went inside for Warehouse panel. I got there early so I sat through 1 1/2 panels. The first 1/2 panel I still don't know who they were but they were sketch artists for sure. There were 3 guys that were given the same word and they had to sketch it out for one guy to guess. It got very interesting. The next panel was famous voice actors. It was soo much fun!!
April Winchell-daughter of paul winchell who was the voice of Tigger. She voices Clarabelle cow, California happy cow commercial
Chuck McCann-The thing, Ducktales, Talespin, Winnie the Pooh, and santa clause in a few things, cookoo for cocoa puffs, hukelberry hound
Candy Milo-Jimmy Neutron, Dexter’s laboratory, Sweetie on Tiny Toon Adventures,
Gregg Berger-Eeyore!!, Odie from Garfield, AAh real monsters, GI Joe,
Tom Kane-Welcome to Disneyland, The Wild Thornberry’s, scrubbing bubbles
Jason Marsden-white squall, Max
Fred Tatasciore-The hulk, space mountain, Pacha on the Emporers new school,
Bill Farmer, the voice of Goofy was in the audience and came up to do a quick bit with Jason Marsden.

So after that excitement it was finally time for Warehouse 13! We could see the curtain move and all of a sudden there is Eddie's head peaking through. He continued to mess with the crowd peaking through here and there and waiving over the curtain. When they started to announce the panelists. The group came on and when they announced Eddie instead of coming on stage, he ran all the way around the room high-fiving people. Love that man!!The panel was awesome and hilarious. Love that cast!!

so when that was over i rushed back to the hotel forgetting that it was dinner time so we waited there for several hours but we finally saw the two limos show up and otu comes the whole freaking cast. I had to bypass my favorite guy to get to Joanne and then I was able to get CC and Saul together which i LOVE. So stoked!! If you have't watched the show yet, check it out on hulu

Then we just hung out waiting for the Syfy party. Security decided to try to screw us but wasn't too terrible in the end. I did end up missing my Jensen cause of the set up but I was able to see a ton of people and we were able to get autographs form Mae Whitman, Dennis O'Hare, Pauly Purette, Jassika Noble, Matt Davis, and I got pics with Justin Hartly, Jassika, and Jonathan Tucker. Not too bad. Oh and I got to see my Eddie again finally and he introduced me to his wife and publicist who were both SO sweet. He liked my shirt I made but i was so tongue tied I couldn't share more about it. Oh well. At least I got to see him

Anyways, so sunday came around and we went back to try to get Jared Padalecki but never saw him. Saw Carla Gugino, Vanessa Hudgens, Jena Malone all alone but didn't need any so just got to watch. So we headed out of town to go to Van Nuys for the General Hospital fan club weekend!!

So I've been dying to meet Jonathan Jackson. DYING!! He has been one of my all time loves since day one. Well, I finally got my chance. My heart jumped when he walked in cause I couldn't beleive it was happening. He's adorable and so gracious. So we had an hour q&a then got to meet him personally. Got him to sign my Camp Nowhere and got a pic with him.

Then we had several hours to kill so we went to see Salt. I really enjoyed it. It's a silly plot but Angie is awesome and i love Liev. Some twists and turns too making it enjoyable.
Then we went back for my Enation concert. Enation is Jonathan's band. They are incredible. It was only an acoustic concert but they just suck you in. So awesome. Then they met with all of us too. I'm missing Luke in my group picture but still a great picture then I got a Jackson brother sandwhich. Got to tell Richard I loved Saved by the bell: the new class. He was excited about that. Such a great night.

Then we drove to SLO where I slept all day. Gregg had a meeting with his parents from 2-3 and then we hit the road again for San francisco. Got in around 830p and got checked in. Then headed over to A's stadium for Moneyball filming. We hoped Brad Pitt would be there but looks like we missed him by a matter of days. We did see Phillip Seymour Hoffman where he took pictures with people on the other side of the stadium. BOO! It wasn't that fun. the people around us were idiots and there was no direction so we just sat there. filming was from 1030-5am. We made it to 330am and then gave in cause of the lameness. Oh well, at least we'll have fun looking for us when the movie comes out :)

The next day we headed into the city. At around 2pm we met up with Kim Asquith, a friend from high school. She brought her sweetie baby for me to meet. Such a cutie and it was great to see her. She made a special trip to see us which was awesome.

Then we just hung out for hours and hours. We missed Jonathan Hyde going in so we waited til after the play where we were able to get him on the way out. Let me tell you, I'm completely obsessed now. He was incredible. It was one of those moments I wish I had on tape. All I can remember is he started out saying "you found my sneaky way out" I said "they took pity on us cause we were there all day and drove up from LA for a chance to meet him." He thought that was amazing. We asked him to sign our Titanic which was getting full so I said he could sign on Kate's face. "Oh I couldn't do that to dear Kate". I said how bout the neck and he said that would be alright. We told him we were big fans and couldn't wait to see the show tomorrow. He told us that "our wendy won't be with us. She broke a rib and had to fly home cause her mom was in dire straights." Sad, but I was overwhelmed that Jonathan was exactly as I hoped he would be. Then he asked where we would be sitting and waited for us to get our ticket out. I asked for a picture which he obliged and gave me a perfect picture. I was glowing and beaming from end to end and he took my hand which was freezing which he commented on and he squeezed a little harder. love him!!!

So then we ran over to Civil Twilight. Got there a little late but still got to see a bunch of it, and we were gonna see them 2 days later. It was fun to see them in a different venue though. And a sold out show which was awesome to see. Civil Twilight is amazing!!

The next day we went sightseeing all over SF. WE had so much fun just running all over seeing stuff. Got to see a park they've done filming in, see the exploratorium, and the full house exterior. So fun!!

So then we headed over for Peter Pan. I hadn't heard the greatest reviews but we really enjoyed it. Jonathan was amazing!!

Then we jumped on the road and headed to meet up with Caitlin and Kristin. Unfortunately, communication went wrong somewhere and Kristin ended up a half hour away so we enjoyed a dinner with Caitlin then headed to Kristin's house to visit with her and her parents for a little while which was awesome. Love them!! Then we drove to SlO to sleep then headed back to LA where we slept the next day :)

Then Thursday i got to go see Civil Twilgiht with Amelia. It was fantastic!! Got to chit chat with Rich and Steven. And it was the most bestest concert EVER!! They were on top of their game for sure.

Now the fun continues until I go back to school at the end of the month. BOO!! Speaking of which, for those that pray, please pray for me and school. Things feel like they're falling apart again and i'm having difficulty with my grad project so kind of freaking. Thanks all!!
